Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program

To participate in the GOODS Program, organizations must meet the following qualifications:

  • Be a 501(c) 3 organization in good standing or a municipal/county shelter

  • Provide a website including the organization’s mission (Facebook is not sufficient)

  • Have a profile on Guidestar

  • If shelter, animal control, rescue or sanctuary: List adoptable pets online and spay/neuter all animals prior to adoption

  • If sanctuary: Agree to a site visit

GOODS Program Partnership

Protective Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) has teamed with Greater Good Charities’ to become the Kansas City area ambassador for their GOODS Program. This program shares resources with animal welfare agencies and human services nationwide . Thanks to this partnership, PAWS is able to bring low-cost pet food, litter and other supplies to animal welfare agencies and human services organizations locally and in a multi-State region. This program allows organizations to further stretch their dollars and impact even more pets and people. Food and supplies are donated from multiple gracious donors and shipped to our ambassador warehouse to be distributed to qualified GOODS Program recipients for free or for a minimal handling fee.

Our GOODS Program serves the following:

  • Food Bank & Pet Food Pantries

  • 501(c) 3 animal rescue organizations, shelters, animal control, & State or county animal welfare facilities.

  • Community outreach (including homeless services)

  • Domestic Violence Shelters, Veterans, Housing, Education, & Women & Children services. e) Federal programs such as FEMA & Veteran’s affairs

  • State & Local Community programs
